About

I'm Bowei Wu.
I Build UK Small
Business Websites for £250, in 10 Days.

My story

The Gap
I Saw.

Small businesses lose customers every day to competitors with better websites. The florist down the road, the independent plumber, the freelance designer just starting out. They’re all losing enquiries to whoever has a more credible online presence.

The tools to fix this existed. But not at a price or complexity level that worked for someone running their business single-handedly. Traditional agencies charge between £5,000 and £20,000 and take months. DIY builders produce results that feel exactly like what they are.

“My mission is to give every small business a website that helps customers take the next step, regardless of budget or technical knowledge.”

I built CraftedPages to close that gap. A lean studio, a refined process, and a relentless focus on the few things that actually move the needle for a small business: speed, clarity, and a site that feels like it was made for you, not pulled off a shelf.

Founder note

Who I Am,
And Why I Built This.

I’m Bowei Wu. I’m 27, based in London, with a Master’s in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics and Operational Research. I’ve spent the last four years in tech: AI consulting, product management, prompt engineering, agentic coding.

I started CraftedPages because the tools available to a one-person studio in 2025 are genuinely different from what a mid-sized agency had access to five years ago. I can design, build, and ship a proper website in days, not months, at a fraction of the agency quote. The maths works. The client wins, I win, and the wasted spend is the bloated brochure-site that never earns its keep.

Who I build for. The florist down the road. The independent plumber. The music teacher with twenty students and a half-finished Wix page. The freelance designer who’s been hiding behind Instagram for too long. Small operators doing good work who deserve a site that looks like they mean business.

How I approach the work

Goal First.
Measured at Launch.

Goal first. Always.

Every project starts with one question: what's the action you want visitors to take? Book a call, fill in a form, place an order, walk through your door. Once that's defined, every choice — copy, layout, hierarchy, CTAs — gets judged against whether it makes that action more likely. A site without a goal is just a brochure. A site with a goal is a working asset. That difference is the whole job.

Measured at launch.

Every site ships with analytics installed, conversion tracking on the action that matters, and a baseline number captured in week one. You don't have to guess if it's working. You can look.

How I work

Modern
Craft.
Real Speed.

A tight, opinionated process and a modern toolchain let me move faster than the agencies, without cutting the corners that make a website feel cheap.

Every site is designed, reviewed, and shipped by one person who cares how it looks and how it performs. The result looks crafted because it is, just not at agency rates or agency timelines.

First draft in hours

Structure, layout, and initial content landed fast, so I spend my time on the details that matter.

Designer review

Every detail checked by a person. Design, copy, SEO, and performance.

Client preview

You see it before it’s live. You have the final say, always.

You own it

No lock-in. No platform dependency. It’s yours, completely.

The promise

One Person.
Your Whole Project.

No account managers, no handoffs, no chain of emails. The person who designs your site is the person who builds it, replies to you, and ships it. That is the entire point.

You speak to the maker.

Every message, every call, every revision, handled by the same person from brief to launch. No lost context, no handoff drift.

Fixed price, in writing.

You get a quote before a single pixel moves, and it doesn't change. The only surprise is how quickly you can go live.

Built in days, not months.

A tight process and a modern toolchain mean first drafts land fast. You spend your time on the details, not the waiting.

You own it, completely.

Code, copy, domain, hosting, all in your name. Leave whenever you like. No platform lock-in, ever.

What I stand for

Four Values.
No Exceptions.

Clarity over cleverness.

I communicate simply and honestly, in your language. If someone outside your industry would not understand it, I rewrite it.

Speed with standards.

Fast does not mean careless. Every site ships only when it’s right, and right means something specific to me.

Ownership for my clients.

You own everything I build. Code, content, domain. No lock-in, no platform dependency, no ongoing ransom.

Accessible excellence.

Premium results should not be a luxury. A florist deserves the same quality as a Fortune 500. I build accordingly.

Proof roadmap

How Trust
Gets Built.

Transparent scope first.

Before you pay, I write down what I'd build, what it costs, and when it can launch.

Private preview before launch.

You see the site before it goes public, request changes, and only launch when the essentials are right.

Measurement from day one.

The site ships with analytics for the action that matters: enquiries, calls, bookings, or sales.

Real proof when it exists.

I won't invent testimonials or case studies. When public results exist, they can be added with permission.

Come and Work
With Me.

Tell me about your business. I'll take it from there.
